Ukraine’s Ambassador to the Czech Republic Yevhen Perebyinis sees reason to expect that with the coming to power of the new government, the Czech Republic’s support for Ukraine will significantly increase, to the level of countries that are now called Ukraine’s greatest friends.
He said this in a comment to “European Truth” on the sidelines of the conference of heads of foreign missions of Ukraine, which took place on December 21-22 in Guta.
“I have every reason to say that in 2022 the Czech Republic’s support for Ukraine will increase, if not greatly, then very strongly… I expect that in 2022 the Czech Republic will join the group of EU states that are Ukraine’s closest lawyers and partners. According to the level of support, it will be approximately at the level of the Baltic States and Scandinavia” -Yevhen Perebyinis said.
According to him, this includes readiness to support Ukraine’s most ambitious aspirations – membership in the EU and NATO. Ukraine’s most ambitious expectations in terms of NATO membership – they say this openly: not “integration”, “rapprochement”, but Ukraine’s membership in NATO – this government will support, which will support Ukraine’s membership in the European Union, of course, provided fulfillment of all necessary conditions by us “, – the ambassador noted. It will be recalled that on December 17, Czech President Milos Zeman appointed members of the new government headed by Prime Minister Petr Fiala after long delays.
